About Route & Root
A school for the attentive maker.
Our story
Route & Root began as a small exchange of field notes between a paper conservator, a garden educator, and a book designer. Their shared conversations became workshops, then a curriculum for people who wanted to work with plants slowly and respectfully.
Today, our courses bring that same generous studio atmosphere online. We teach practical methods without rushing the observation that gives botanical work its meaning.
